I’m Possible

With Minda Cox and Fr. Jos Tharakan

November 29 - December 1, 2019

I’m Possible is a spiritual empowerment and watercolor painting retreat/workshop facilitated by one of the most beautiful people you will ever meet in your life. Minda Cox. Minda is a differently-abled person than “disabled”. Without arms or legs, Minda has accomplished much more than many who are “abled” and well. With her two books, watercolor paintings, reflections in the Forward Day By Day national network, other works of art and literature, Minda has proven to the world that life is worth living and possible regardless of where we are.

Every time I have been with this young woman for a few hours of visit, meals, and coffee, I return with the comfort there is life in the good and the bad, the best and worst, in everyone I meet. She inspires me every time.

If you ever wondered how to get through the toughest times in your life, regardless of what caused it, this is a retreat you do not want to miss. Celebrate Minda while learning how to make your life colorful and beautiful. Learn to paint and color some pictures while immersing in the power and beauty of watercolor. Color is all around, but in this retreat, you will learn to bring it out from within and make this time a powerful witness to your potential.

Who is Minda? Minda likes to work in watercolor, pen and ink, pencil, and colored pencils. She is also an author who has written many articles and the book, “Ordinary”, the story of her struggles and victories, which may be purchased at the Art Sync Gallery. Minda says her art dances when she cannot, her paint runs for her when she is bound to her wheelchair, and her colors jump and clap for joy although she cannot do either of those things. Minda’s art and writings are bright, beautiful, and inspiring, just like her. (To buy a hard copy of the book write to Minda directly. 1963 South Hartford, Bolivar, MO.)

At this two days retreat, Minda along with Fr. Jos will lead us in reflections, prayers, painting lessons, and personal time to learn how to deal with daily challenges of life with grace and compassion.
